FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT provides superior durability and shine, protecting your tires while maintaining that fresh-dressed look for up to 6 months. This professional-grade tire dressing represents our longest-lasting protection solution for the DIY market.
This revolutionary product stands apart in the detailing and DIY markets. We chose the term “sealant” rather than “dressing” because its durability and function surpass any conventional tire dressing available.
The water-based, quick-drying formula creates a continuous flexible film, similar to the plasticizer used in tire manufacturing. This best tire shine formula produces a finish that’s chemically inert against harsh weather, driving conditions, ozone, UV, and other environmental factors that degrade synthetic and natural rubber.
Unlike conventional solvent-based silicone dressings that sit on the surface and can sling onto your vehicle’s bodywork, our durable yet flexible latex formula reacts to form an incredibly adherent micro-coating. Using any tire dressing applicator, this proprietary blend penetrates the tire wall’s pores, anchoring the latex film for exceptional durability and a sling-free black tire shine.

Tire sealant is a protective formula that bonds to rubber surfaces to provide shine and protection. Black Velvet combines sealing properties with UV blockers to prevent tire cracking and fading. The liquid formula penetrates rubber pores to create a barrier against environmental damage while delivering a deep black finish.
Tire dressing typically provides temporary shine but limited protection. Tire sealant like Black Velvet bonds to rubber for lasting protection and shine. Sealants offer UV resistance and longer durability, while basic dressings may attract dirt and require frequent reapplication.
Liquid tire sealant can improve the appearance of minor surface cracks and prevent further UV damage. Black Velvet seals rubber surfaces and blocks harmful rays that cause cracking. However, severely cracked or damaged tires require professional inspection for safety.
Black Velvet tire sealant provides protection and shine for up to 6 months under normal driving conditions. Durability depends on weather exposure, driving frequency, and washing habits. The bonded formula resists washing and maintains consistent appearance longer than traditional dressings.
Black tire sealant is safe for all rubber tire types including performance, all-season, and specialty tires. The formula bonds safely to rubber without causing damage or discoloration. Always test on a small area first and avoid contact with wheel surfaces during application.

Apply tire protectant only to tire sidewalls and tread areas, avoiding contact with wheel rims or brake components. Black Velvet works on all exterior rubber surfaces including spare tires. Clean tires before application for best bonding and coverage results.
UV tire protectant requires minimal maintenance due to its bonded formula. Wash tires normally with soap and water without affecting protection. Reapply Black Velvet every 4-6 months or when shine begins to fade for continuous UV protection and appearance. For regular washing, consider our car wash soap.

FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT is a revolutionary product for the detailing and DIY markets. We intentionally chose the name “sealant” rather than “dressing,” as it is like nothing else on the market in terms of durability and function.
FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT is a water based quick-drying film that forms a continuous flexible film, much like the plasticizer used in the manufacturing of the tires themselves. This flexible film imparts a finish that is chemically inert against the deleterious effects of harsh weather and driving conditions, ozone, UV, and other environmental causes of degradation of the synthetic and natural rubber of the tire.
Unlike most solvent based silicone dressings that sit on the surface of the tire and inevitably sling from the tire to the vehicle’s bodywork, FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT’s durable yet inherently flexible latex reacts to form an incredibly adherent micro-coating on the tire’s sidewalls. DURABILITY
With regular washes using FEYNLAB® PURE WASH OR FEYNLAB® PURE RINSELESS, you can expect up to 6 months of durability. This will range from 2 – 6 months depending on extreme weather, driving and cleaning conditions.

CAUTIONS
Always wear respirator & gloves during application. Ensure application area is free of loose contamination.
PREPPING THE TIRE
Thoroughly clean the tires using FEYNLAB® TIRE & WHEEL CLEANER to remove any previously applied silicone products. Allow the tire to completely dry before applying FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT.
DIRECTIONS
If this is your first time applying FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT to the tires, we suggest 2 coats as the first will be slightly absorbed into the pores of the tire (a desired effect).
Using a microfiber or foam applicator, apply a generous amount of FEYNLAB® BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT onto the applicator.
On the first coat, work the sealant into the pores of the rubber, making your way around the tire applying evenly, being careful not to touch the wheel. If you accidentally get product on the wheel, quickly remove using a microfiber towel and FEYNLAB® PANEL PREP before BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT has a chance to set up.
Wait a few minutes before applying your second coat. Apply layer 2 evenly, in long lines covering around 1/4 of the tire. Continue this process until the tire is evenly covered in BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT.
Continue your way around the vehicle covering all 4 tires (don’t forget the spare). Allow 10 minutes drying time before driving the vehicle.
After the initial coating above, BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT can be used as an easy maintenance product once the desired level of gloss is no longer visible. This is usually every few months (depending on conditions). To apply maintenance layers, simply wash the tire with FEYNLAB® PURE WASH OR PURE RINSELESS using a soft bristle brush. After the tire has dried, apply another coat of BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT following steps 4 & 5 above.
POST APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid sling and runs, allow at least 10 minutes for the product to dry before driving the vehicle Wash & Maintain using FEYNLAB® PURE WASH or FEYNLAB® PURE RINSELESS.
Reapply a single layer as desired or when necessary.
To clean tires coated with BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT
Wash with FEYNLAB PURE WASH or FEYNLAB PURE RINSELESS using a soft bristled brush or microfiber towel
DO NOT use FEYNLAB WHEEL & TIRE CLEANER as the chemicals in that product will prematurely degrade the BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT
DO NOT aggressively scrub with a hard-bristled brush or any other highly abrasive tool as that will prematurely degrade the BLACK VELVET TIRE SEALANT
If using a pressure washer, keep the wand at least 2” from tire surface to prevent degradation of the sealant.
